Why do I need antimicrobial protection?
BioCote® antimicrobial technology is manufactured into the Harlequin Cascade, creating a performance surface that is protected from microbes such as bacteria and mold that can cause odors, staining, and material degradation. The result is a floor which is easier to keep hygienically clean by working constantly to reduce the presence of microbes on the surface of the floor.
How does it work?
BioCote® integral antimicrobial protection uses silver ion technology and is proven to offer protection for the expected lifetime of the product. Unlike some antimicrobial protection, it will not wear out or wash off. This technology reduces microbes on the floor by up to 86% in 15 minutes and up to 99.99% in 24 hours. It works continuously and has been proven against a wide range of microbes.

How does the additive effect the Harlequin Cascade?
The BioCote® silver ion additive is inert and has no effect on the appearance or performance characteristics of the Harlequin Cascade. It is the same vinyl/marley floor you know and love.
