Bjork\u2019s latest show-stopping\nperformance \u2018Cornucopia\u2019 which premiered at The Shed, New York City, has been\ndescribed as her most ambitious and elaborate concert yet. Bj\u00f6rk worked with a\nteam of digital and theatrical collaborators to present live musical\narrangements, digital technology, and stunning visuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extravagant and abstract, the\nIcelandic singer-songwriter did not disappoint on set design.  The\noverarching theme for Cornucopia is nature, with much of the imagery inspired\nby flowers and fauna, and the incredible performance incorporated a message\nabout climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harlequin\u2019s involvement in the\nset design involved collaboration between Harlequin offices in the US and the\nUK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Harlequin provided the Harlequin Hi-Shine\u2122<\/a> black, a glossy vinyl event floor, for the stage in The Shed\u2019s iconic new space, The McCourt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

British Harlequin worked closely with Bjork\u2019s production team; Scott Fleary Productions Ltd, stage designer Richard Nutbourne and set designer Chiara Stephenson from Clockwork Studio, to produce a bespoke, glossy, teal vinyl event floor for the \u201cfloating mushrooms\u201d feature.  Harlequin was given a very specific brief on the color and finish that Chiara required, which was printed onto Harlequin Reversible Pro\u2122<\/a> vinyl performance flooring and given a laminated gloss finish.  The result was a fabulous glossy teal floor which was used for rehearsals in the UK before being shipped to New York for the eight-concert engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
