The 2024 North American Theatre Engineering Architecture Conference (NATEAC), powered by ESTA, is excited to announce that once again the conference dinner will support the Behind the Scenes charity. The dinner will be held on Sunday, July 14 at City Winery in New York City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Behind the Scenes Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, established in 2005, to create and support charitable programs for the entertainment technology industry. Behind the Scenes provides financial assistance to industry professionals who are seriously ill or injured. Grants provided by Behind the Scenes may be used for basic living expenses or medical care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todd Spencer, ESTA President, commented, \u201cThe work of Behind the Scenes is vital to our community. We are extremely proud to continue the tradition of supporting this incredible industry resource during the NATEAC conference dinner. This charity dinner is always a highlight. Thank you to our sponsors, Bill Sapsis and SGM, who help make this valuable event possible.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rick Rudolph, Chair of Behind the Scenes responds, \u201cWe are thrilled to learn that ETSA is carrying on the tradition, started by Bill Sapsis, of donating the proceeds from the NATEAC dinner to the Behind the Scenes charity to support our colleagues in need. In donating to BTS, this gathering of professionals who care about creating the best and most accessible performance places demonstrates that they are as concerned about the people who work in the venues as those who attend them.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The North American Theatre Engineering Architecture Conference (NATEAC), powered by ESTA, will be held July 13 \u2013 16, 2024 at the New York City College of Technology. This fifth iteration of NATEAC, originally created by Bill Sapsis of Sapsis Rigging, Inc., was first produced in 2008. This quadrennial event features engaging presentations, thought-provoking discussions, and unique opportunities for networking, including the conference charity dinner to support Behind the Scenes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NATEAC registration is now open to the public at nateac.org. General registration costs $850; student registration is $350 with a valid .edu email address. When registered, attendees will also have an opportunity to purchase tickets to the charity dinner supporting Behind the Scenes at $175 (charity dinner tickets may be purchased separately during the conference as well). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
