On April 28, 2024, The Center Theatre Group (CTG) hosted its annual Gala at the Mark Taper Forum. This year, the gala honored the extraordinary talents of Director/Choreographer Sir Matthew Bourne, celebrating his significant contributions to the performing arts and his impactful philanthropic efforts. Sir Bourne, known for his expressive storytelling through dance, has presented nine of his New Adventures productions over the last 27 years with CTG. 

A special evening highlight was when Emmy® Winner and Academy Award® Nominee Melissa McCarthy presented the honor to Bourne. Adding to the star-studded lineup, Tony Award winner Lea Salonga headlined the performance segment with her incredible vocal performance of the highest caliber. An excerpt of Bourne’s iconic “Swan Lake” was also brought to life by New Adventures stars Jackson Fisch and Rory Macleoud. 

Part of the event’s success can be attributed to Harlequin Floors, whose Harlequin Liberty® LatchLoc sprung floor, complemented by a Harlequin Reversible™ vinyl performance surface, upheld the night’s artistic expressions. Harlequin Floor’s involvement with the CTG 2024 Gala highlighted our commitment to the arts and dancers’ health and safety. Harlequin Floors laid the essential foundation that allowed the performances to excel.
