Harlequin Floors is proud to be featured in the June 2026 issue of Lighting & Sound America, which spotlights the transformation of Kirkland Performance Center (KPC) in Kirkland, Washington, and the innovative technologies helping prepare the venue for the future.
The feature, “KPC’s Next Phase,” highlights the theatre’s multi-million-dollar renovation, including the installation of North America’s first Harlequin Liberty Switch® stage system. Designed for venues that regularly host both dance and theatrical performances, Liberty Switch transforms from a rigid stage floor to a sprung dance floor at the touch of a button, providing exceptional flexibility without the need for additional floor storage.
The article notes that the innovative flooring system expands the venue’s programming capabilities by allowing it to easily accommodate a wide variety of performances while providing dancers with the professional sprung floor they need.
Harlequin is honored to be part of this landmark project and congratulates Kirkland Performance Center on its well-deserved recognition in Lighting & Sound America.
