NYU Harkness Center for Dance Injuries Upgrades Their Space With Harlequin

The Harkness Center for Dance Injuries (HCDI) at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital recently renovated its physical therapy clinic, and the center chose to partner with Harlequin Floors to upgrade its floors.

The new updates included installing Harlequin WoodSpring® in the center’s rehabilitation studio. The floor is a major upgrade for the Center’s dancer patients as they recover from injuries.

Faye E. Dilgen, PT, DPT, Program Manager at NYU Langone’s Harkness Center for Dance Injuries, said the dance floor is the center point of our facility.

“As leaders in the field of dance medicine, we know the importance of having a world-class dance floor on which our dancer patients can perform physical therapy exercises as well as dance movements as they rehabilitate from injuries,” she said.

“Harlequin has provided a floor that is not only safe and functional but beautiful as well—a major upgrade to our physical therapy clinic,” Dilgen added.

Since 1989 HCDI has provided the dance community with the highest quality injury care and preventative resources to enhance the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of dancers and dance companies.
