The Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) “Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow” Gala is an annual event that celebrates the world’s most talented young dancers. Founded in 1999, YAGP is the world’s largest global network of dance and has become the largest and most prestigious ballet scholarship competition in the world. Harlequin is honored once again to support YAGP as a 2023 Season Sponsor and was privileged to attend the event in April 2023.  

The YAGP Anniversary Gala is a star-studded event that showcases the incredible talent of the competition’s winners and other distinguished guests. The gala features performances by some of the world’s most renowned ballet companies, including American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and The Royal Ballet. It also provides a platform for young dancers to showcase their skills in front of industry leaders and potential employers. 

This year’s event held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City featured an all-star cast with performances from YAGP alumni Michaela Mabinty DePrince – Boston Ballet, Jun Masuda – Tulsa Ballet, Tiler Peck – New York City Ballet and the winners of the 2023 YAGP International Ballet Competition — The Future of Dance!
