Burgos and New York International Choreography Contest

Last month the Burgos & New York International Choreography Contest took place in Burgos, Spain, transforming the city into an epicenter of international choreographic creation and platform for new dance talent.

Between 13th and 29th July, artists from 17 different countries came together to showcase their choreographic flair across a number of dance genres from contemporary to urban.

The competition is organized by the Burgos Contemporary Ballet, in collaboration with the Municipal Institute of Culture and Tourism for the City Council of Burgos, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and the Council of Castile and León. It was directed by Spanish choreographer Alberto Estébanez.

The Burgos Contemporary Ballet uses a Harlequin Flexity sprung floor stage with a Harlequin Cascade vinyl performance top surface. They also dance on Harlequin Studio vinyl floor.
