The Princess Grace Academy was founded in 1975 following Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III’s desire to establish a high-level dance school in the Principality of Monaco.
Princess Grace Academy has five studios with Harlequin sprung and vinyl floors. The newest studio was built in 2022 when the Director, Luca Masala, chose a Harlequin Activity® sprung floor with a Harlequin Studio® vinyl top surface.
The aim of the academy is for students, who are aged between 13 and 18, to learn the vital dance skills they need in order to progress to an international dance company at the end of their studies.
Princess Grace Academy’s Director, Luca Masala, knew he wanted to make sure his students had top-quality flooring for his students to perform at their best. He said: “When we had to build the new studio, after many discussions with my colleagues, it was clear Harlequin was the best choice for the students at Princess Grace. It is a big investment but when you see the quality of the work you can do, it is worth it. Before the students start learning, we want them to have the correct tools to dance safely.”
Renowned for the excellence of its teaching, the Princess Grace Academy has become a partner to prestigious institutions such as the Prix de Lausanne, where some of its students are very well represented.
