Safety is Rule #1 at Miss Kim’s Dance Studio
Kim Lambert Black, better known as Miss Kim to her dance students, talks about three rules when starting her dance camps.
- Be safe.
- Take care of Miss Kim’s (our) property.
- Have fun.
When it came to Rule #1, Miss Kim invested in Harlequin’s Flexity sprung panel system, knowing Harlequin sprung floors offer assurance of better protection from injuries for dancers with reduced risk of injury through impact, slipping or falling. Kim and her husband Fred installed the panels in the studio’s Bear Room along with a Harlequin Reversible performance surface.
“I am so pleased with how this floor feels and how it keeps my dancers protected when they fall. We ordered this flooring to be installed in the Bear room before classes begin on September 8th, “ said Miss Kim.
Miss Kim’s is home to Time To Shine, an Integrative Dance Program for uniquely-abled children. Kim was happy to show her students from the program the new floor, “I need to know that if they fall they will be safe. That was a huge factor in purchasing the sprung floor. ”
