Harlequin Floors Introduces Harlequin Rocksure Stage Surface

(Moorestown, New Jersey) – Harlequin Floors, the global leader in advanced technology flooring for dance, performing arts, entertainment and events, today announced a new product offering – Harlequin RockSureTM, an extremely tough, easily managed, polymer composite stage surface. This latest addition to Harlequin’s line of stage floors enables the company to further develop their stage building services across the Americas.

“From installing a new vinyl surface to new stage construction, Harlequin teams around the world have been involved in stage building and refurbishments for many years,” said Pat Basileo, Chief Operating Officer of American Harlequin. “As we look to expand our stage floor capabilities in the Americas, RockSure is the ultimate product to introduce. The fact that it happens to coincide with the live event industry’s return to NAMM is perfect timing – bands and production managers, who want pyrotechnics on stage will all be wanting RockSure for their next show!”

Harlequin RockSure is an extremely hard wearing, easily managed stage surface designed for use in live performances spaces including concert venues, theatres and school auditoriums. It is abrasion resistant making it suitable to support Genie and scissor lifts, castors and the movement of props, and is flame retardant, safe in fire risk areas (e.g., pyrotechnics).

“Our customers come to Harlequin looking not only for dance floors but also flooring solutions for tougherenvironments, like stages. When a traditional stage surface, like Harlequin StandfastTM, a heavy-duty vinyl, or hardwood don’t meet the requirements, a product like Harlequin RockSure is a good alternative with a matte black surface that doesn’t require painting,” says Basileo.

Harlequin RockSure can be installed by Harlequin’s highly-skilled technical teams or is available for purchase as a stand-alone material in 4’ x 8’ panels. It is manufactured to be squared, pre-drilled, and counter-sunk, and can be worked with standard woodworking tools. Additionally, it is secured to the floor in sections and can be unscrewed for access or replacement of heavily worn areas.

Harlequin Floors is committed to continually delivering the highest quality products using new, advanced materials – supplying the performing arts, live events and education industries around the world with the highest quality vinyl marley floors, sprung floors and stage floor systems.
